My vision of human life

My vision of human life

            Before I certify what human life actually is, I would like to state how life originated and the meaning of human life. As we all know that there are various way of explanation about the origin of human life. In science there is their own way of approach and understanding, in Christianity has its own and in Hinduism and other religion to have their own way of understanding, standpoint and explanation.

 We generally as a theist believe that life is precious gift of God that which he vitalized from his very unconditional love. Today I myself believe that life would not be possible to origin or create unless there is an element of that unconditional love of God and as a part f human without the intimate relationship between two partner. Thus life is still a consequence or the fruit of love that expressed by a married couple in conjugal love. Thus life origins and come to life from an unconditional love of God and as well as through the intimidate love relationship between husband and wife.

From the above explanation of the origination and meaning of life I would like to explain the vision of human life according to my vision of Human life. Human life is the most precious than any other lives that exist in this world because we were created inclusively through the spirit of God and we have the privilege of attaining the two folds of life that no other creature can gain. What makes most special about human life is the element of Love that which is within us. We are endowed with it and not our own initiative because we were created out of unconditional love. Therefore we acquired freedom to act and will. No one can control us except God who is our creator. If we look carefully we will discover that every one tries to live our life to the full in love based. Even the worst person in behaviour and how cruel would be yet they will seek for love. We each one of us have our vision of life and that is to attain salvation that is basically to be with the creator. For all may not be crystal clear but ultimately that is the only goal. We basically have only one aim in life that is to love or to be love. Without this life is empty. Thus to be love or loved is our vision as human being.

Responsibility:

Responsibility:

            How responsibility does come about? Responsibility is not something that someone needs to be told but it is from his/her own initiative. To perform responsibilities do need collaboration of people. It needs to be something concrete that follows action and helps the community, family and society. To practice responsibility one need to be given a space and not restriction, but one should be supported by the people around. In responsibility guidance can be given but not imposition of other ideas and rules. When the responsibility does come? This question may arrive in our conversation. It comes to any individuals when he/ she feel already at home wherever he or she stays. The ambiance of homely atmosphere can give the individuals to do something that can help the community. Support and guidance are the most important in taking responsibility and even respect for that person can become the great help.

My experience of Salesian life

My experience of Salesian life

      It is really miracle that I am a Salesian because I didn’t had any interests in it and I never talk about it because I never knew about Salesian life in the past. But I believe that it is a call from God. It is a call and never a profession and really a wonderful experience with all types of phase of life. It is not a peaceful life where I can say that I will do only do this and not the other things because it is not my initiative but God’s and I have no authority to disobey. This life have taught me many things that I personally did not realized like to be patient, to be dependent to a community and to be friend to all and above all to see my self who am I really. It made me to be more loving and to appreciate life in a right way. It has given me the right understanding of who God is. Salesian life has shaped me to be more human and to see meaning in life in a purposeful way. I have met many different people and taught me at time I found difficult to accept because of my self pride and I am a person who seek for instant outcome and I wanted things to be turn out instantly and these contradicted and I found non sense and wrong in their part but it is only after reflecting and looking carefully in myself I understood that all that they (superiors) said and did for are for the good of my soul and for my being. It is tough to understand in that moment but every thing becomes meaningful and fall into line after a long time and I found this and really happy to be a Salesian. But one thing in life to remember is that life is not walk on bed of rose and can say every time good things and experience good things and live a life constantly twenty four hours with the lord but at time the situation could lead you and found dryness. During this time we should not go further away but need to seek some (superior) to talk and this is the solution that I found to be more soluble in those time. May God bless me to be ever faithful in his service in a Salesian life.

Visit of Fr. Joe Almeda sdb the provincial of vice province of Sri Lanka.

    It was a surprise for me that my former provincial visits us in a special way and I really great full to him for this special concern. It was a nice meeting with him and wonderful sharing with him. I really wonder his wonderful personality and his love for young people and especially his love and concern for young clerics and for his availability. So above all it was a wonderful meeting with him and to see him after a long time.

To day.

     To day is a beautiful day. The morning dew reminds my childhood days and when I see the beautiful environment it creates a nostalgic feeling within. The morning golden rays of light of the rising sun give me an immense joy that I am having a bright future. And really today was beautiful day. The chirruping sounds of the birds gives me nice and life full experience. 

Change of mind

Change of mind

    For me every experience is a new endeavor. Every failure and wrong is not a fall but turning point and realization that I am a weak being. It is not a repetition of the same act but over coming the human weakness that I supposed to face. Mistake and failure is part and partial of the fallen man and the capacity to see meaning is the new hope that the new Adam gave us through his resurrection and ascending to heaven to be our God forever and to forgive and to give meaning in spite of all our weaknesses.

Ask and you will be given

      Suppose if some one who is very rich and has everything that you wanted in your life and say to you to ask whatever you wanted not only one thing but all that you wanted. What would be you reaction. Wouldn’t you ask him immediately? In the same way our God had been telling us to ask Him, we not only often but always refuse to ask Him who is the only true giver. If not ask Him even once in your life now is the time to ask and I say to you to ask and He will grant and no doubt. If only we can understand and able to love him that the spontaneity to express will come. He is our father and mother does feel the closeness and ask Him. Never doubt His unconditional love but just accept and trust you shall have the things that you wanted and not only one but all that you wanted….

    It was a wonderful day I had and more especially the evening quiz time that I had. It was well organized and was very much participatory one where everyone had a chance to express themselves to show their love and interest on Mary through quiz. Thank to Liturgy Group.

What happens to me when I sit in front of Blessed Sacrament?

      It is not that easy to sit for an hour or half in one place doing nothing if I really don’t understand and feel the presence of Jesus the Son of God. Some times to get this feeling I find very difficult especially when I a captured with many external things and I do not consider to real presence of Jesus.

    Sometimes I need to understand the meaning to be with someone who loves us without being expecting us to love first. And if you find such kind of person you will find even a longest to a minute. For me He just listens to whatever I say and I can say anything I feel. That gives me joy to sit with him. He loves and doesn’t care for time. Yet sometime I feel I am somewhere in the quite place that no one there with me to support and be there. But it is only when I am fully with him both mind and body I find joys and satisfaction more than any external things could give. To be with him is like diving in a fresh water in hot summer because he refreshes me and He is a refresher for all too.

What is my image on Mary?

Whenever the word Mary comes to my mind, I just think of a loving lady holding her child and looking to me with a great love and assurance. I have a very beautiful image on her but one thing I have about her image is that she is not limitate only to a magnificent look but she is a lady who can be any image and any situation and condition because she is the Lady who is with all human without partial to anyone. I can see her among the poor as well as with rich. She is the Lady among Ladies.

Above all she is sweet lady and always loving and ever ready to come to my aid.

Who is Mary for today’s world?

Mary is the mother of humanity whom we oblige to love and respect. Therefore I think she is the only mother that can change the life of children of today’s world. The world is changing very fast and young people tend to live a life without listening the advice their mothers. She (Mother Mary) is the only hope and we who are the closest children to her living under her mantle have to responsibility to approach to her for her intercession so that she may turn and give the divine advice to her prodigal sons and daughters. She is always a mother to all irrespective to any characters. She always care for us and we instead of loving to her we tend to face our back to her. The more the world turn to her the more she’ll follow us because she loves us and she wants us to see living and listen to her son our Lord Jesus. In loving Jesus and Mary we do not destroy but build peace. However the devil does not want to see us living a happy life. So turn to our Heavenly mother if you want to live a happy life.

I am sorry!

 This is the most heart breaking word for anybody because it touches our self ego. It is the most difficult thing to say to someone I am sorry even if you are wrong more so especially if that person is small to you and less important. It is the most difficult among the shortest sentence to utter in our human colloquy. To say this one sentence take more courage to say. If you are able to say it is the most important word to live a life of relationship. It dismisses all the enmity if you able to accept your fault and say to him/her ,”I am sorry for the wrong that I’ve done to you”. If you find difficult to say, I would encourage to say it more often whenever you find yourself mistake even in small thing to other. This will make you a humble person.  

Learning to forgive:

 Hove you ever forgave to a person who inflict wrong on you without a cause? It is difficult, isn’t it? To forgive is you have to be a person of unconditional and you cannot forgive for the cost of self gain or respect. It is difficult task no doubt to practice often but not always impossible if we practice to forgive in every little way that we face. To forgive is a part learning and never ends from learning to forgive. What would you do if someone does wrong to you? Will you just go and bung that person? No, at that moment you be patience and speak to that person when you become cool because in hot head you can’t recognize the right and wrong but only in cool manner. Forgive is much more powerful than the violence. So learnt to accept and love yourself and then other things will just fall in the line and acceptance and love are the most important tools of forgiving person.

Learning to love:

 No one is born master to be love of course there is little spark of love in each person but that can be realize only when we learn how to love. To love some one is learning to love yourself because to love someone requires self-realization that you love first then only you will be able to love the other. Without love yourself you cannot love other person. If you say that you love someone without loving yourself first is a liar because to love other need sacrifice and without love there is no sacrifice and if you do not love yourself you can’t sacrifice for the that person.

     So learn to love yourself first then automatically you will become a person of love. Without firewood and charcoal fire does not burn in the same way  you need to burn with fire of love first then only you can burnt other with the same flame of love. 

Divert negative to positive thought

 Ha! It is a stagnant process for me because often I remain with negative mind than to change in to positive and even if I want to I find difficult. It is not easy task to convert anything and everything in to a positive all of a sudden but it is slow process and that is by daily practice without considering the amount of failure then only one can turn to positive mindset. To be positive thinker is not easy job. It is always to judge and make a negative comment for other but difficult task to praise. But everything is not that impossible and always there is a way and that way is practice and consistency in doing good thing.

Learn to renounce:

 To give up all the possession is the most difficult thing for human. Therefore no one wants to give his/ her possession and live happy life without anything. It is madness for the world but when we see carefully in a religious perspective it is the most lofty choices and generous act that one can offer. It is very difficult to let go all our pride, sensuality, laziness and our entire human ego because they are the dominant characters in life. If one does not have strong good moral background it is impossible to renounce. To be a renounce person one must be a person who willed to let go his/her egoism.

Learn to be positive

 For me to be positive is not easy tasks for human and I feel difficult to be positive minded person especially in moments of ups and down. To be positive means not only to think positive even in  immoral behaviour, act and say it nothing wrong… because wrong cannot be right but rather feeling sorry for all the weakness and say to God and your love one or to any other people I'm sorry and I will not repeat any more. This is a positive point to be made and not by compromising with the wrong act and hoping the love of God and acceptance from other but by lamenting over the wrong act to do right for the next. To be positive in life is that in spite of all the wrong that you have committed still craving the love God and change your life to a good one by giving up all instead of lost with that wrongness.

Learning to be patience

This is one of the most difficult parts of life. Often we find failing to be patience. However I believe that every failure is not just and event but teaches something in a little way. In this for me I have learnt little by little how to be patience in my life from every failure and mistake. Every thing that happen in our life is an event to learn and nothing happen for the sake of happening. Life is a large field for learning and never ends till we reach to our last breath. And learning can happen only when we are able to patience in our mistake and failure and able to accept all that happen out of our likeness. First learn to be patience if you want to be success. Patience can cope with any situation and come up with good solution.

Call to give

Call to give is the beautiful and common call to all humanity by God to give each other. This call is not exempt for anybody included. All are involved in one way or another. Some are called to give for other totally without expecting anything externally to get back. It is a wonderful gift and quenching one. Giving is getting and not one way process because the giver receives more benefit in his/her mind and heart than the receiver. So try to live this call to this full with hope for the greater gift to receive in future.

Reflection

Reflection:Are we a living Salesian or an existing Salesian?

     Are we living or existing. If living is good but if you just existing then we need to think about. What is the difference between them? Living has purpose and life that can create goal and while existing is non-life but just wondering I mean that in existing there is purpose in which path we are moving. So as a Salesian be living and existing. Date:22-8-15

MONTHLY RECOLLECTIO:12-8-15 by Rev.Bp.Lukes Daniel.

        To day’s recollection was a very meaningful and nostalgic upon the call that each one receive. The talk was given by our Rev. Bp. Lukes Daniel the Bishop of Nashik Diocese. The topic was about “the Attraction that Jesus created in us.” In the recollection talk he begun by narrating his own experience. He said that we do not see God but we hear His call and follow Him. His call attracts us. He also asked us why we are in the Philosophate and what are we doing leaving all the enjoyment outside. Also he asked whether we are faithful to the call or not. These entire questions made to reflect and made me to do things with purpose and not just dragging aimlessly. Finally he conclude saying that to be religious or priest is all about giving generously then only the church will grow and he said that Jesus is not concept/imagination but Jesus is Real –living.

     Priesthood is not an advertisement for a moment but FOREVER.

Friday

   

      Today we the community of Divyadaan celebrates the births day of Cl. Servin sdb and out Rector Major Fr. Angel Fernandez sdb. The mass was celebrated by Fr. Joachim D’souza sdb along with other concelebrants. In the homily he preached about the St. Pious IX and he said that he was same with our present pope Francis and in fact he anticipated our present pope in doing and going about. It was a nice homily and very prayerful one even though he was just narrating the life of Pope Pious IX because he does with a reflection.   Date: 21-8-15 

The God who prayed (Mk1:35)

          It is surprise and wired to hear that God prays to God, but it is a fact that our Lord Jesus prayed and through his concrete life he taught his disciples to follow and to pray. Why is it so? Could he not just talk to God, beside he is the Son of God, just as Moses spoke face to face with God in the Old Testament? However, not so but Jesus would go early in the morning to a quite place to pray to his father. There are two ways to answer to this question. First of all our lord Jesus has two natures, that is truly Man and truly Divine. That is he prayed to God as a true man and preached to the people as a Divine. The double nature of Jesus clearly shows in the gospel of Mark 4:35-41, Jesus stills a storm. In this passage Jesus as human he fell asleep and as God he stilled a storm.

 Our Lord Jesus taught all his teaching through his concrete life by living it and not just explanation out of something abstract. More over he came to this world not sit on other’s shoulder and rule them but he walk like us and he in order to acquire the status as a prince of the universe being a prince he had to shading his blood to win over all humanity. He prayed from the beginning of his life till his last breath at the cross with his powerful words, “Father forgive them for they know not”(Luke 23:34) and he instructed to his disciples to keep continue praying even after his resurrection as a prince of the heaven and earth

.

   God understood man that the only way to convince them would be by loving them and to keep unite between his father and man is by becoming himself like us and teach by living like us. Thus God the Father did not spare to send his loving son to be like us and to suffer the most painful and ridiculed suffering ever human suffered.

   Jesus is the only man who lived life meaningful and to the full. When we see his life we would find that he lived like any human would live. He worked, enjoyed life, he had friends both man and woman. Lazarus, Mary and Martha were his closest friends that he always spent time besides his disciples. He always prayed before anything he had done. Without prayer he never started anything the best example that be code is before selecting his disciples (Lk:6:12b) there are many places where we find Jesus praying. Thus we can address Jesus our Lord as the God who prayed.

   We as his disciples have no other legacy that he left for us but to pray to him in any time as the only means to communicate with his father. Prayed is not recitation of a long writings but a personal dialogue with God who is always listening. Thus it is a loving conversation and sincere disclosure of our own sentiments of gratitude and petition that we required to walk our life journey. Prayer is always a personal matter even if we prayer as a community or the same prayer we pray because we pray to him with our own feeling of personal relationship. Let us then pray to him with our true feelings as he is our personal friend, father, mother, counselor, and comforter.

Beautiful day.

It was a beautiful day. The day begun with the praising the Lord. Since it was Friday we had Lectio Devina from the gospel according to Mathew chapter 7:1-12. Since it was long so we had only half part. Then followed by the holy Eucharist celebrated by Fr. Joachim and he preached in his homily from the book of St. Augustine, since it was his feast day, the confession. He explained nicely the actual intention of the book saying that he wrote for all people alike, that is about confession to God for the iniquity and not only for himself.   28^th Aug 2015

Mediocrity the blessing in disguise

                              

Don’t take literary that is planning to live mediocre life all through. Why am I saying this? You might be confused. Not that being a mediocre I am successful but because I am able to acknowledge that I am not perfect and master in all I strongly rely on GOD. Thus this weakness made me reflect through sincerity that without God I am nothing. Hence it is a blessing or else if I am a professional I would we proud and live with my ego and ego would have become my god. But due to this it has become a blessing in disguise.    

Do not judge other and you will not be judge.

This sentence is very powerful one and it is very good for frustrate people especially when some one want to correct. See how the scripture can be use for evil purpose. But when we see in human life, we human are a judging being and we cannot escape from judging. To not to judge is itself already judge. What do you say about if we reflect well? But there is always possibility to be not a judge and  that is how we say something to some one in a correct way. The concrete solution for this is  love and accept.

Realization

  Realization is never too late. It is the important state which human becomes more human. It is a time when everything you begin to understand and it is equal to many years of your work and struggle to come to succeed the thing that you wanted to have. When it comes be grateful to that moment and never feel bad for the time you took too arrived at that particular situation. This is the most important state of life of which people are longing for because it changes all things and lead to live a new way of life all together. So seek for the moment and when it comes be grateful and live it to change your self and the world.  

The power of word I love you.

         I am sure that every one of us must have said one way to the other to some one the word I love you if not to God then to our parents or siblings or to our girl friend not less than a thousand times. And we can feel that this word has a tremendous power to change the world and a person’s life.

   If you have not said then begin it to say from your heart to your loved ones whom you loved much and concern for. It has a tremendous power that can change in human lives as I have mentioned above. It is sad because it has become a victim because it has been used for a wrong purpose that is not to build relationships but to destroy by breaking it as soon as the desire the external desire had been fulfilled. Does this stand the true meaning of the meaning of word,” I love you”. The word I LOVE YOU no longer joined LOVE or relationship no longer connected with love but just I WANT YOU.

   Want and Love are very much different because the purpose of the former is to satisfy the desire but the later has the purpose even to sacrifice at a cost of one.

    This type of love is generally expressed by our parents whom we do not recognize and realized and we failed to show our love in them in return. We tend to express this feeling more to our girl friend or boy friend in a wrong ways. We need to express first to our parents rather than to some one who come only on the half way of our lives.

   When we try to change the meaning which is good we experience the same thing different taste and like but we can through it away if it does not come to our likes. However in love we cannot treat like things and should not be so superfluous in saying but we need to speak from our heart and it does really work in people’s lives. It does not return empty handed but it generates relationships and bring the bond of love between people and parents and children, God and man.

       With courage take first step to say to your mom and dad that “I Love You So much”, who have the right to receive because they were the one who said to you initially and brought you up with love and not out of burdensome.

What is freedom?

         Most people think freedom means external action that they enjoy like free to move around, free to eat, to drink, to talk and some times even doing nothing. Yes all these are part of freedom but real freedom is not narrow which is only with the things we feel satisfaction but more than these external reality. People who seek freedom in external way will end up of the consequences of the external situation but those who seek beyond it will find it that no one can snatches away.

         For me freedom is not from things that we experience or we received in our lives but it is an internal force which is one clearly finds and experiences. No one can take this freedom from and individual because it is one’s own choice. To be free or not to be free is one’s own choices where he/she can decide. Here I would like to quote the best example about a person who is free in spite of all the external sufferings. He is non other than Victor Frankle who did once said quoting Niche,” He who has the why to live for can cope with almost any how”. In him we can see freedom personification and this is the fact of the people who are freedom personified. A free person from his inner self can see hope even in a most hopeless situation. Therefore freedom is not a freedom from punishment or duty but it is from the decision that one has made in spite of all obstacles and yet fines a peace and serenity. Freedom is contradiction to external condition. Another person whom we can called a freedom personified is Nelson Mandela who once said after coming out from the prison when a certain journalist had asked him and his reply was this ,” when I left the prison’s gate I have forgave them because if have not forgave them then I would be still in that bar”. Thus freedom is the ability to choose to forgive and to love even to those who inflict pains to us.

Theology of Love

    We say i/we love, car, parents,siblings, God, and so on and what not, all things we claim to love - we experience love as a transitive: it makes no sense to exclaim just that 'we love'; we need to say whom or what we love.
    Love cannot be made- sex can be made but not love. love is remain a creative mystery. when we say in English, i  can fall in love', this means that i can be drawn into the transformative  and revolutionary experience of love by that power of love . love is not a principle, but praxis.
   All loving  relations into which we humans are capable of entering are made possible but also limited by our physical existence,. human love does not happen outside of the human body. there is no human love without the body,
   Love requires attention to the bodily limits and limitations of the other as well as of the self.

Happiness

    Happiness does not come out of a sudden accident of thoughts but from a deep conviction and satisfaction in something one has fulfilled or found as the emeritus Pope Benedict XVII say, the happiness that you seek has a name and face that is Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
